Have you read Iain M. Banks' Culture series, David? If not, I would recommend it. It largely concerns a highly advanced anarcho-communist civilisation (called the Culture), and its interactions with less sophisticated societies (often taking the form of subtle interventions intended to dismantle systems of exploitation in said societies). It's also space opera of a scale and level of imagination that puts most of the genre to shame.
Of all the topics you write on, this is the one I most enjoy. It would make a fine book project. Ever considered exploring these ideas in the medium of the sci-fi novel? I think the genre is ripe for a renaissance.

I’ll have to give it a go!
I'd recommend starting with Player of Games, if you do.

Alas, I’ve neither the time nor the focus for much writing beyond what I do here.
